For maths you are to;

1.  finish the maths mate sheets you started on Tuesday. You should attempt all of the Yr 8 sheet without a calculator. On the Year 9 sheet do only the questions you think you know how to do . We will correct them next week so don’t lose them. If you do lose them you will need to do them again!

2. You have exercises set in mathletics to do. Finish them. (Look in the Blogroll on the right of this blog.)

3.  go to the yr 8R post and do activity 1 and 2.

For ICT

If you haven’t started activity 1 from the 8R post do that in last period on Thursday

Today you have a choice of 3 activities.

1. Look at Mrs Murtschin’ s Blog http://murch.globalteacher.org.au/ to get to the We’re going on a maths hunt! activity which comes from a great idea from the blog of Tom Barrett. You can follow the instructions on that blog to create your own scavenger hunt in your local town (or Melbourne, Sydney or a combiation of cities in Victoria.) 

2. Go back to the 100 most used words power point we started last week and work on that. Pracise the timing to get the words to flash up for 1 second so that the prepies can read them. Remember you will need to find reward pictures and sounds for correct reading. You will need to record your voice on each answer slide.

3. The science nutrition quiz. You have started to do some work on Nutrition in Mrs Webster’s class and can work on at least 6 questions for a power point quiz. Try to use at least 1 question that uses a photograph of the nutrition panel on a food item that you get from using the built in web camera on your note book. Wrong answers should have a hyperlink to a fact page on another slide and then a link back to the question that the person doing the quiz got wrong.

Welcome back. Today you are going to;

• Complete the ears post.
• Copy your journal entries from last term and paste them on your main page blog. Give each journal post a category of “journal” or “my diary” or “diary”
• Post your highlight of the holidays and your lowlight.
• Add a diary post listing the new subjects you are doing this term.
• Update your Outlook calendar.
• Start your powerpoint for the prepies using the 100 high frequency words.

Take 2 pictures of each person in the group. 1 photo of their ear. Use irfanview or windows photo gallery  to edit and crop the picture to show only the ear. 2. take a picture of the back of your head. Edit and crop to show only your head and hair.

Post them on your blog. Tag them as  bits of me, ear, hair

insert a wordle into your blog listing your best attributes. Comment on other peoples WORDLE if you think that they have left out any attributes. remember the biger the word the more  you have that skill.

There has been a lot of attention to the issue of privacy in social networks lately. You all know that you can adjust your own facebook and myspace settings, but have you? Please reply to some questions about your home use.

Did you know that anyone can view your albums unless you change their privacy settings every time you do a post. If someone tags you in a photo at a party then anyone can see all your photos.

 Did you know that anyone can open an account in your name if they have those details?

Today we are going to activate this as a reminder of work that needs to be done and appointments you have coming up. It can be a place where you can record friends and family birthdays.
